Our Belief
We believe that all children need the same opportunities and encouragements to succeed in their learning.
At Goslings Academy we strive to ensure that learners achieve to the best of their ability, and we will be their advocates. We ensure that the children come first and that we teach the way they learn.
We want parents and children to know that no matter their difficulties they can thrive and gain the best education that they deserve, also those learners who have difficulty in a social environment will be assisted so they can communicate and strive in the real world.
Through Goslings Academy, we are continuously gaining awareness in the community, so that when parents and their children are out in the “real” world they are not treated differently, or in a negative way.
Every Child Can Learn
At Goslings Private Academy, we serve students who struggle with learning and social disabilities such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Autism, and other diagnoses that affect academic progress.
We relieve pressure on traditional schools in Newcastle that may not have the facilities to support these learners. Our aim is to create ambition—helping learners believe they can, and inspiring a love for learning.
How Goslings Academy was Born
Goslings Academy was born through personal struggles trying to find a school for our Autistic son. Through our journey, we found many schools either unwilling or unable to accommodate our son. The school that was very willing to help us, made every accommodation in their power for him, but we eventually had no option as to home school our son, as he simply couldn’t cope with the pressure and stimulations from a mainstream school.
We have identified a wide gap between main stream education and additional needs education in the primary level, senior level as well as after the age of 18years, leaving parents of special needs children with limited to no options. We believe that a student who learns differently needs more than the basic accommodation provided by traditional schools, therefore we want to fill the gap so that every child has an equal and fair opportunity in education, in their own way.
Vision
Our vision is to become hope. Hope for the children. Hope for their parents. Hope for the community. We want to become a force reckoned with in special needs education and expand into several centers across our region, including Non Profit Organizations.
Mission
Our mission is to serve students who struggle with learning – and social disabilities, such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Down syndrome, Autism or any other diagnose that affect stress levels and academic progress. We also want to relieve pressure on traditional schools in the community that doesn’t have the facilities and knowledge to help these learners strive.
Our mission is to create ambition, confidence and happiness for the learners, so that they know they CAN, and want to learn, in whichever way possible – be it physically or academically.
We are front runners in our community and provide first class facilities with sufficient spaces and equipment available to them to ensure the best learning.
We collaborate and engage with other providers and local partners to develop extended services which meet the needs of our children, young people and families in a coordinated holistic way which can be accessed through all the partners in the locality.

Creating a supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment.

Our approach extends beyond the classroom — it’s built on equality, compassion, and strong partnerships with parents. From upholding diversity and fairness, to setting clear admissions criteria, to offering ongoing support for families, we are committed to walking this journey together with both our learners and their caregivers.
Equality & Diversity
We celebrate individuality and embrace diversity. At Goslings Academy, every child is valued, and we actively promote equality while eliminating discrimination and harassment.
Admissions Criteria
Our admissions process is designed to ensure we provide the right care for children with special needs. Each application includes parent interviews, therapist evaluations, and a doctor’s letter to confirm diagnosis. This ensures we work hand-in-hand with parents as partners in learning.
Parent Support
We believe that families need as much support as learners. That’s why we host workshops and provide ongoing support groups led by a Mental Health and Wellbeing Coach, giving parents the tools and community they need to thrive at home.
